Regarding the note on Harriet as possible child Tryon-5075 I have a record for a Nehemiah Adams residing Syracuse 1850 and 1855. I have established his profile Adams-40790. He ran a shoe store. The 1855 record is for the same family linked in the notes here. His age in 1855 appears misreported. if this is the right couple, then the older daughter Marinda is child of prior marriage. The son is indexed as John in 1850, but 1855 and 1860 looks like Lynnes or Tynnes.

The 1855 record identifies her birth location as Wayne county, NY. That may simply indicate that her family was there.

Some trees have Harriet Adaline married to Teal. Also connects with a son Tyrus Adams. If her, it appears to be second marriage, Nehemiah Adams being first. Will come back to this.

Son's unusual name sticks out "United States Census, 1880," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MZN6-J83 : 15 September 2017), Tyrus A Adams in entry for Harriett A Teal, 1880; citing enumeration district ED 190, sheet 444C, NARA microfilm publication T9 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d), roll 0944; FHL microfilm 1,254,944.

Other Tryons are present. Including Emma (Diemma Jay) and Mary, daughter of this William.

William Tryon died in Canastota in 1833. Laura Tryon and William Tryon children of William Tryon were born in Canastota, NY, about 1845. Canastota is a small village within Lenox, Madison, NY. This puts both Williams in the same small village in the same period of time. I think evidence is sufficient now to link them as father and son.

Perhaps there is some connection between William and the Tryons in Rome, NY -- based on occupation - shoemaking.

See William Tryon. He died in Canastota, Madison and could easily have been in Greene county in 1801 where his brother Asa lived. Given how unreadable the headstone is, this could be William Tryon's gravestone. The dates are very similar: 18 Mar 1833 vs 19 Mar 1835, easily misread.

There is a headstone in the Lenox Rural Cemetery (fairly old and unreadable) for a William Tryon died 1835; possibly father of William and Harry? See https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/24426611/william-tryon
