Biography
John Huey was born 1800 + Mary "Polly" Barton September 10, 1826. She was born in 1800. (John spelled his name Huey) She was the daughter of Nancy Tubb Barton born 1780 in Rutherford Co., North Carolina, and Benjamin Barton. Nancy was the daughter of John Tubb born August 6, 1758 in Orange Co., North Carolina, and died September 9, 1836 in Perry Co., Alabama.
In 1844, Thomas married Karen Hauppuch “Cary” Barton Hughey Barton. This leads us to conclude that Sarah had died before 1844, perhaps during childbirth when Martha was born in 1843. Cary was the daughter of Nancy Tubb Barton, born in SC, and Benjamin Barton. They lived in Dickson County Tennessee for an undetermined amount of time and Cary was born in Tennessee. They moved to Alabama where Benjamin and Nancy both died in Perry County.50 Carey married George Hughey 2 June 1827.51 After he died, she married Thomas Barton in Noxubee County, Mississippi on 8 Oct 1844.52
