George was born in 1896 the youngest of four children of Charles Alfred Tuck and Katherine E. (Reed) Tuck, the first two of which had died in their infancy. While working at the Packard Motor Car Company in Detroit, he was drafted in 1918 but was not, to my knowledge, called up. He married Millicent Grubb on 2 August 1924 in LaGrange, Indiana and they had two children, Martha in 1925 and George William Jr in 1927. During the 1930s, he worked at the credit manager at the Crescent Engraving Company of Kalamazoo. During the depression, the owner reduced everyone's wages including his own which enabled all staff to be retained.
After retirement, he and Millicent would spend the winters in Vero Beach, Florida and he died of a heart attack when there in June 1969.
