Joseph Tucker was born in about 1779. He married Martha (Patty) Morse in Roxbury, Massachusetts, on December 29, 1899.[1] The couple had ten children[2] together:
The family lived in Roxbury, Massachusetts, for decades.[3][4] By 1830, only 2 of their adult daughters were still living with Patty and Joseph at the family home.[5]
Joseph likely died in 1837 at the Roxbury almshouse.[6] His final resting place is unknown.
Research Notes
Though his name is given as "Louis" on his son Louis's death record,[7] all contemporary records list his given name as Joseph. As birth information from death records is often incorrect or incomplete, this should be treated as such; his given name was almost certainly Joseph.
No vital records have been found for the birthdates of Patty and Joseph's children; the years in this profile come from family records and past genealogical research. Per the 1810 census,[3] Patty and Joseph had four children (two boys and two girls) under the age of 10 at the time. However, in 1820[4] Joseph is listed as living with his wife and 3 daughters (two under ten, and one aged 10-16), so some of their children may simply have been living with relatives nearby.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joseph by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joseph:
