Military Service Records indicate William served as a Colonel in the War of 1812, commanding a regiment of Tennessee Volunteers in New Orleans in 1815. He passed away in 1861.
The town of Robertsville was disbanded when it was expropriated by the U.S for the Manhattan Project.
