DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Vincent by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Vincent:
Vincent was in Jefferson Co., IA in the 1856 census, "age 84, b. VA, 2 people in household, in IA for 14 years". I have not found any definite proof as to when or where he died. Iowa does seem likely though since he was 84. His wife Sarah was living with their daughter Martha Saunders/Landers in Cedar, Monroe Co., IA in the 1860 census. Wish someone could check church death records between 1856 & 1860 for both Jefferson & Monroe counties. Pam
