Biography

Lydia was born in 1741. She passed away in 1787.

d/o Amos TUTTLE & Sarah MANSFIELD

About the year 1782, Lydia (Tuttle) (Allen) Butler registered her cattle earmark in the town of Weathersfield, not as Lydia Butler, but as Lydia Allen [“a single cross the underside the right ear"]. She had been married to her second husband for some years, though it appears Lydia still independently held an estate from her first husband.

In memory of
Mrs. Lydia who was wife to Mr. Benj. Allen 11 years then wife to Mr. Asaph
Butler 10 years and then died May 4 1787 in the 46 year of her age.
