Biography
Birth and Baptism
Elizabeth, the daughter of Samuel Tatam and his wife Ann, née Simons, was born at Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, in 1824 and baptized at All Saints church, Gainsborough, on 7 July 1824.[1][2]
Marriage
Elizabeth married widower John Clark by banns at the church of St Mary Spital, Stepney, Middlesex, on 10 September 1848. Elizabeth described herself as a spinster, aged 25, daughter of Samuel Tatham, a rope maker. Witnesses were William Harding and Robert Carter.[3][4][5]
1851 Census
Elizabeth is in service, with her mother Ann, to John A Casey at 17 Great Coram Street, Bloomsbury, Middlesex. Elizabeth is married, her mother a widow.[6]
