Biography

Norman was born in 1908. He was the son of John Ulery and Mary Rennells. Norman was an artist by trade. He started painting in 1936. He had the privilege of being able to study with Herman Sachs at the Creative Arts Student’s League, Hollywood California. Norman moved back to Indiana in 1947 with his wife Gertrude. He built a one room cabin in Brown County, Indiana that he named the Red Shed Studio where he accomplished the majority of his work. Norman's work has been exhibited in one man as well as group shows and can be found in private collections in United States, France, Great Britain and Italy, and in the Onya LaTour collection, Indianapolis Museum of Art. He died in 1976 and is buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nashville, Brown, Indiana, United States of America.
