The parents of immigrant William1 Chesebrough (1594–1667) were previously identified herein as William and Sarah (_______) Chesebrough of Boston, Lincolnshire, England. No evidence has been found to support this claim, however: the Sarah Chesebrough admitted to the church in Boston, Mass., in 1630/1 has been identified not as William1's mother (or daughter) but his sister. In that William1 was baptized in Tattershall (14 miles from Boston, where he later married), Lincolnshire, it is highly probable that his parents were Richard and Alice (Duddick) Chesebrough, who married in Tattershall in 1593; Alice was buried there in 1615[/6] and Richard in 1642.[1]
Alice Duddycke and Rychard Chiesbrugh married October 21, 1593, at Tattershall, Lincolnshire, England[2]

I have changed the identities of the parents of William1 Chesebrough (1594–1667) from William and Sarah (______) Chesebrough to Richard and Alice (Duddick) Chesebrough and would be grateful if you, as profile manager of this page, would change the Surname at Birth item from _unknown_ to _Duddick_. As it stands, Alice appears as having an unknown maiden name and Duddick as her surname from a previous marriage, for which there is no evidence whatsoever. Apparently you're the only one who can make the change. Thank you.
