The "Miriam Tracy" that is listed on the main source genealogy for this family was married to someone else, according to Find A Grave and other sources. She has been confused with the Miriam - Last Name Unknown - who married Reuben Beeman (aka Beman or Beaman). It is assumed that Miriam UNKNOWN Beeman was born in Connecticut in 1746 (according to Ancestry.com).[1]

However, she married Reuben Beeman at his homestead in New Marlborough, Berkshire County, in western Massachusetts in 1763. Their son Alvah Beman (aka Beeman, Beaman) was born there on May 22, 1775. Miriam and Reuben has several other children as follows:[2]

  1. Margaret BEAMAN b. ??
  2. John BEAMAN b. 1 Mar 1764
  3. Submit BEAMAN b. 28 May 1765

  9. James BEAMAN b. 25 Nov 1779
  10. Uriel BEAMAN b. 2 May 1782
  11. Merriam BEAMAN b. 3 Mar 1785

Miriam (UNK) Beeman died in New Marlborough, Massachusetts, in March 1785 when Alvah was just 9 years old. Reuben then moved his family to Lima, Ontario County, New York. He died in Lima, Ontario, New York, in 1810. His son, Alvah Beman, was a friend of the LDS Church's founding Prophet, Joseph Smith, Jr., whose family farm near Palmyra, NY, was just 28 miles north-east of Lima, NY.
