Agnes King was born to Ann Firth in Clapham, Yorks. When she was 3 years old her mother married Henry King. There is no evidence that Henry was actually her father but she apparently lived as his daughter since she took the name of King. Agnes had four children out of wedlock before she married Thomas Hutchinson and one child after she was separated from Thomas. She and all of her children except Mary are mentioned in the will of Joseph Graves of Pyehow, Langdale. Agnes' burial says she is of Pyehow (Pyehow is a home), Joseph called her Agnes Hutchinson, but she is buried as Agnes King. Documentation: (1) Grasmere, Wstmd. Par reg. (2) Kirkby Ireleth Parreg. Agnes King married Thomas Hutchinson after having had four children out of wedlock. There is no evidence as to who the actual father was of these children. In one and one half years she separated from Thomas, however she seems to have had one child, William, by him who was christened three years after the separation. Separated 13 Jan 1791
A death date or burial date of 20 Dec 1805 in Pyehow, Great Langdale, Westmoreland, England is also included in the profile (apparently in the name of Agnes King), however no sources have been located to support it. The person attaching the record indicated she was 78
