Biography

Volga German
Elisabeth (Unknown) Bleichroth was a Volga German.
Elisabeth (Unknown) Bleichroth has German Roots.

Family #35 in the 1767 Grimm census.

Family #113 in the 1775 Grimm census.

Family #133 in the 1798 Grimm census.

1767 Grimm Census [1]

Family # 35
Head of the Household Johann David Bleichroth, age 32, Lutheran craftsman from Mannheim
Wife Elisabeth Bleichoth, age 19

By 1775, the couple had survived the raids by Pugachev and expanded their family by two: son Johann Heinrich and daughter Maria Christina.

1775 Grimm Census [2]

Family # 35
Head of the Household Johann David Blaikhron [sic?] should be Bleichroth, age 41
Wife Elisabeth Blaikhron [sic], age 24
Child #1 Johann Heinrich Blaikhron [sic], age 3
Child #2 Maria Christina Blaikhron [sic], age 6 months

Elisabeth and Johann David's daughter Anna Maria was born after the 1775 census in 1777, but she married before the 1798 census. This means she was never listed under her maiden name with her birth family in a census. There is a gap of 6 years between daughter Maria Christina and the next oldest sibling in the 1798 census, Johann Konrad, age 18. It's possible the couple had one or two more daughters between the ages of 24 and 18 who were also married by 1798.

By 1798, Elisabeth's husband had passed away and she was the head of the household.

1798 Grimm Census [3]

Family # 133
Head of the Household Elisabeth Bleichrot [sic], age 50, widow, her deceased husband and father of children was David Bleichroth
Child #1 Johann Heinrich Bleichrot, age 26
Wife of Child #1 Katharina Elisabeth Weber age 24
Grandchild #1 Johann Heinrich Bleichrot, age 2
Grandchild #2 Johann Konrad Bleichrot, age 6 months
Child #2 Johann Konrad Bleichrot, age 18
Child #3 Maria Christina Bleichrot, age 24
Child #4 Sophia Magdalena Bleichrot, age 15
Child #5 Anna Margaretha Bleichrot, age 12
Child #6 Maria Magdalena Bleichrot, age 7

She does not appear in the 1834 Grimm census with any of her sons' families. She may have remarried and lived in her new husband's household. If she were still living by the time of the census, she would have been 83 years old.
