Biography

This profile represents the first wife of 17th century immigrant to New England, Richard Bowen, and mother of all his children. Neither her first name nor maiden name are known.

The 1884 claim that the wife of immigrant Richard Bowen was Ann Bourne^[2] was disputed in 2001.^[3]

It is not known if she emigrated with her husband and children to New England. Whether or not she did, she likely died by 1648, when her husband remarried.
