Thomas Vail was born in 1720. He was the son of Rev. John J. Vail and Martha FitzRandolph. Thomas married Sarah Davis in 1744. Thomas was a miller, farmer, and Quaker minister. Thomas and Sarah had 7 children: Sarah, Martha, Noah, Anna/Annie, Henry, John, and Davis. He passed away in 1807.
