Biography

BANGS - Grace C. Sikes, 94, died Monday at a Fort Worth nursing home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Bangs Cemetery, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Mrs. Sikes was born in Hill County and moved to Bangs as a young child. She lived in Bangs until 1997. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church. She married Moss Sikes in 1921 in Bangs; he preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Waddill Sikes of Dallas and Charles Sikes of Weatherford; one sister, Leona Vardeman of Bangs; five grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
