America or Jossie as she was fondly called by family and friends, was born in 1874 and passed away in 1933. Buried in the Alvis Family Cemetery in Princeton, Mercer County, West Virginia.
She is the daughter of Ransom Vaught and Sarah Kirk.
She married David Alvis at the age of 25 in West Virginia of the year 1899 in West Virginia.
