Biography
Nancy Elizabeth Vestal was born about 1842 in Tennessee. She was the daughter of John and Catherine Vestal.[1]
She was married 27 April 1858 in Jasper County, Missouri to Joseph Martin Prigmore . Note, she was recorded as Nancy Elisabeth Vestel in the marriage record.[2] In the 1860 U.S. Census, the couple and their son William T. Prigmore were recorded living in Sarcoxie Township, Jasper, Missouri.[3] Ten years later, Nancy, Joe and their three sons (William T, Joseph M and Sidney M) were recorded in the 1870 U.S. Census, living in Fannin County, Texas.[4] In the 1880 U.S. Census, Nancy and Joseph lived in Grayson County, Texas with their six children.[5]
Her unsourced Find A Grave memorial states that Nancy, age 42, died 3 August 1884 and is buried at Old Pilot Grove Cemetery, Pilot Grove, Grayson County, Texas.[6]
