He married Abigail Sprout/Sproat, of Middleborough, Plymouth, MA, daughter of Ebenezer & Experience (Hawes) Sprout, on 11 Dec 1729 at Middleborough, Plymouth, MA of Middleboro, MA
Their children were John (died young), Abigail, Elizabeth, Ruth, Mary, Lucy & Hannah
John served as Pastor of 1st Congregational Church of Canterbury, Windham, CT 3 Sep 1729-27 May 1741"He died of apoplexy, in the pulpit".
