Glendolene Walker Holloway was born April 19, 1929, to Marion Chester and Minnie Elizabeth Walker. She died July 19, 2004, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles W. Holloway; and a grandson, Charles W. Caviness.

Survivors include five daughters, Charlene (John) Cormier, Diane (Bob) Mills, Flip (i.e. Debra) (Bill) Barnes, and Bonnie (Bobby) Caviness and Bridget (Steve) Hoover, both of Greenville; two sisters, Inez Smith and Climmie Ree (Gordon) Stone; two brothers, Hilbun (Dahlia) Walker and the Rev. Thomas (Faye) Walker; six grandsons, eight granddaughters, and eight great-grandchildren.^[4][5]
