Biography

According to Huxford, Isham Walker was an early citizen of Camden County, Georgia. He came to Georgia and located in Camden County about 1793, and lived there until shortly before his death on Nov. 2, 1838, his last few years being spent in Thomas County, GA.

He married Civility Jones, born 9/24/1777, on October 11, 1797. She died on Feb. 12, 1832. Isham and Civility had eight children together: Mary, James, Susannah, Civility, Isham, Matilda, Fleming Bates, and Margaret Isham and his wife were charter members of Old Sardis Primitive Baptist Church in the present Charlton Co. when it was organized in 1819.

Buried Sardis Primitive Baptist Church, Charlton, Georgia, USA

Note, this Isham Walker is not to be confused with another family of Isham Walker, who lived in South Carolina, married Eliza Heir, and remained in South Carolina.

This again is a duplicate profile. The original profile manager removed himself as manager. Same parents and place of death as Walker-16087 (dates of birth shown in BIO by creator are different for some reason). Requsting Merge

Walker-34159 and Walker-16087 do not represent the same person because: Raymond Martin is working and confusing 2 Walker Lines. Isham Walker-16087 B. 1769 did not have a child names George Washington Walker. This line of Walkers were NOT in SC in 1818 (George's birth location??) Do not merge! The parents should also be disconnected from Walker-34159.

Walker-34159 and Walker-16087 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, exact same spouse on both profiles, same father name (in process of merge), same mother name (in process of merge), same birth date and state, same death date and location

Thank you for reviewing, Teresa (wikitree Arborist)

In response to the note left by the unidentified author in the Biography here, I too appreciate your effort, but I don't see your point. Isham Walker described here, i.e., born in 1769, and married to Civility Jones, doesn't say he is the father Littleberry, Joel, etc. It says he is the their brother and that their parents were Isham b. 1730 and and Mary (possibly) Carter.

Also, if you have a comment or specific question please email me or post your comment here, otherwise leaving erroneous notes in the bio, especially one with errors, is misleading and confusing. It doesn't help the process.

Last, if you have proof of connections to Colleton Walker families you cite, please provide proof--other than the Raysor/Walker gedcom, and cite the sources you rely on. Thank you. Terri Oguz
