Research notes

This Drury is sometimes confused with a different Drury, who was born about 1772, and who lived in Rabun County, Georgia. Various researchers have the names as Drury, Drury William, Drewry, Andrew William, and some other variations. It's possible that Drury is a nickname for Andrew, but it's also possible it's a namesake for the surname Drury. It would be good to sort this out for both Drurys. Drury Wall (abt.1772-1858)

Patrilineal descendants of both Drurys mentioned in the previous paragraph are likely in the "Captain Thomas Pittman" Y-DNA clade. See CTP DNA Study.

1820 Census records list Drury Wall from Amite Co. along with (2) males under 10, (2) males 10 - 16, (1) male over 45, (2) females under 10, and (2) females 10 - 16. (No female listed to match Amanda Wickliffes age) scanned pages of 1820 census [2]

Bolton-Wall Family Resource File by JLJ

Drury W. Wall listed [where? source?] as living in Amite County, Mississippi in 1816 .

"Henry Hurst came to Springfield, La. from Charleston, S.C. by boat with the Walls, Keachams, etc., Henry Hurst's wife died at sea and was buried there with the youngest child, John J." [1]

Wall-9515 and Wall-985 appear to represent the same person because: Identical except for death info, which has been confused with a different Drury Wall

There appears to be some mixing of profiles here. There is a Drury Wall who died in 1858, but he was not born in 1777. See profile Wall-7337. There is another Andrew or Drewry/Drury Wall of Amite County, Mississippi, who was born about 1777, but he died about 1824. See profile Wall-985; perhaps this profile needs to be merged with him. However, no sources are given here, so more research is needed.
