Note NI66431In 1860, he was an unmarried farm laborer in Delaware County, Ohio. In 1870, he was at Pella, Marion County, Iowa and in 1880 at Hoyt, Douglas Township, Jackson County, Kansas. He served in the Civil War from 9 September 1861 to 3 July 1865, enlisting at Madison, Wisconsin as a Private in the 6th Wisconsin Battery Light Artillery. He filed a pension application in 1882.
