DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:

Sarah Mawby and Joseph Wallis are not the parents of the Thomas Wallis born in Kegworth.

Joseph Wallis and his wife Sarah (not Mawby) in Kegworth had several children. The first William was baptised in Kegworth in December 1731. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QPWB-32NF This was two years before the marriage of Joseph Wallis and Sarah Mawby in Oct 1633 https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QP4W-TD3W The couple continued to have several children baptised at regular intervals .

In addition there are records indicating that Thomas Wallis baptised in Kegworth in 1751 married in Kegworth, had a family there and was buried there. https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/family/LZ8H-41G

A Thomas baptised in 1751 or born in 1748 won't have married in 1760. Please remove the baptism 'source' and place of birth from the profile. They belong to another Thomas Wallis with very different descendants.

What evidence is there that a Thomas, in America was the son of Joseph Wallis and his wife Sarah Mawby who married in 1633 in Leicestershire?

I found this. It suggests thst this mans origins are unknown and that it was his son Thomas that married Jane Christian in 1823. https://www.genealogy.com/ftm/p/e/a/Connie-Pearl-Ks/BOOK-0001/0003-0001.html

There was such a marriage sharing link

Wallis-1778 and Wallis-1022 appear to represent the same person because: same first name, last name, spouse, death date, location, same son Isaac
