There may have been sets of twins or the dates may have been surmised a little off. Josiah Wallis died 30 August 1850 at about age seventy-five.[2]

1803, Randolph Co, North Carolina:
150 acres granted to Josiah Wallis by John Wallis. [3]
23 September 1848, Tishomingo Co, Mississippi:
Josiah Wallis (Sr.) sold to Brantley Wallis "for $150.00, West half of NW quarter of Section 18, township 6, East of Meredian, containing 80 ac." [This same property was sold by Brantley to Josiah's son Isom Lee for $450.00 three years later
