He had seven siblings, namely: Ivy Grace, Doris Evelyn, Lawrence Twible, Phyllis Mary, Victoria Joyce and Gordon Richard. He died on 15 Feb 1987^[2] in Cessnock, New South Wales, Australia. When he was 39, he married Alma Rosalie King, daughter of William Thomas Clyde King and Dorothy Eileen Ryan, on 20 Mar 1946^[3] in Cessnock, New South Wales, Australia.
