Biography

Joseph was born about 1747. He is the son of Joseph Ward and Janet McMills. He passed away about 1824. [1]

"Joseph Ward, Jr. (Jos., Jas., Jas.) B. circa 1747 Augusta Co., Virginia. D. about 1824, Harrison Co., Kentucky. (His will is found in Vol. B, pg. 225 of the Harrison County probate records. It was written Oct. 30, 1824; probated Feb. 1825.) Md. (1st) ? . Md. (2nd) Margaret Stevensen, daughter of Thomas Stevenson, Oct. 10, 1811, Harrison Co., Kentucky [Marr. Index, #1934] (Also, see Kentucky Court & Other Records. Vol. II, compl'd by Ardery, pg. 151)."[2]

Joseph was married twice, with no information currently known about his first wife, who would have been the mother of the majority or all of his children since he married his second wife Margaret in 1811.
