Frances (Ward) Drew was a Virginia colonist.

According to descendants, Frances Ward was born about 1599 in England.[citation needed]

Frances was first married to William Barker who died before 1655. A court record dated the 1st of March 1661/2 affirms that Frances was secondly married to one "Letherland." It stated:

John Barker Rec 26 April 1664[1]

The Charles City County court orders, on the 26th of April 1664, confirms that Mr. Thomas Drew was married to the relict of William Barker. Frances and William Barker's son, John Barker, of "fflourd Hundred" entered into a bond for 30,000 lbs of tobacco with Mr. Tho. Drew, of the same plantation for maintaining Hannah "Pett" daughter of John's wife, in which he noted, to have rec'd of my father in law Mr. Tho. Drew [meaning step-father.] [1]

Frances died before the 15th of April 1678. At a court held at Westover the 15th of April 1678, Robt. Netherland deposed that his mother, Mrs. Frances Drew dec'd, had charged him on her death-bed with the tuition and care of the orphans of Phillip Limbrey dec'd & sd Robt. petitions the court for them & their estate he promising that until he marries to place them in a good school for their care. Though having placed the orphans the court gives them to sd Robt. with strict instructions to give account yearly at Orphans Court.[2]

You guys should merge all three of those. The identical profiles don’t have sources anyways, so there’s nothing there to dispute. Use the biography details of the older profiles- they are more complete. It’s better than having 6 identical profiles being stagnant for four years when we know they represent the same people. If you don’t want to approve the merges, please just leave them there, instead of rejecting them, so we know which ones they are.

Ward-7989 and Ward-606 appear to represent the same person because: Same Husband. Same daughter. I don’t know the correct birth date for sure, but it’s probably closer to 1599 since the husband’s is 1590
