Biography

Harold Watson was born in the Colony of Queensland (1859-1900)

Harold Vandeleur Nelson Watson was born on 15 April 1877 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. He was the second son of Horatio Nelson Watson and Henrietta Maria Jane Brett.^[1]

He lived with his family at "Ralahyne", Heidelberg St, East Brisbane from 1903 to 1907.^[2]

Harold married Dora Woodroffe at St Mary's Anglican Church, Kangaroo Point, Brisbane on 27 June 1907. Harold was recorded on the marriage certificate as a commercial traveller.^[3][4]

They settled in Stafford St, East Brisbane by 1908^[5] and later at "Woonanbah", Norman Crescent, Norman Park, Brisbane.

Harold and Dora had three sons and one daughter:

Harold died on 30 April 1947 at Beerwah Private Hospital, Brisbane, Queensland. On his deceased estate file, Harold is described as a Department Manager.^[7][8][9]
