Margaret Watson, daughter of John Watson, Alderman of Newcastle, married at St. John's, Newcastle, 9 September 1576, Thomas Liddell as his first wife. She was buried at St. John's, Newcastle, 21 April 1586.
Thomas Liddell was Heir in 1577, Sheriff, Mayor in 1597 and 1609. His will was dated 27 July 1619; and he was buried 19 August 1619, at St. Nicholas, Newcastle.[1] he had issue,

Elizabeth Liddell, bapt. 28 July 1579, mar. 19 Feb. 1598/9, William Sherwood at St. Andrew’s, Newcastle, as his second wife (his first wife, Eleanor Jackson, having been bur. 12 Dec. 1598), she was bur. 11 March 1638/9, and he, 15 April 1640.
Eleanor Liddell, bapt. 14 Oct. 1581. mar. 10 Oct. 1602, at St. Andrew’s Timothy Draper as his second wife (his first wife, Dorothy, widow of Roger Rowe, whom he mar. 9 Oct. 1598, bur. 1 Jan. 1601/2), he bur. 13 Feb. 1622/3, she bur. 4 Sept. 1603.
Alice Liddell, bapt. 14 Nov. 1582, mar. Gawen Salkeld. The testator mar. secondly, 13 Jan. 1586/7, Jane, dau. of Henry Mitford, bur. 12 July 1602; by her he had Henry, bapt., 20 Aug. 1590, bur. at Whickham, 22 Jan. 1641/2, mar. at Grindon, 26 Feb. 1608/9, Elizabeth (bur. at Whickham, 31 July, 1675, dau. of William Jenison.
Roger Liddell, bapt. 22 Oct. 1592, mar., firstly, 3 May 1614, Grace, dau. of James Clavering of Axwell (bapt. 30 Nov. 1592, bur. 16 Aug. 1642, at Lamesley), mar., secondly, 6 Dec. 1642, Mrs. Elizabeth Thorpe.
George Liddell, bapt. 2 April 1594, bur. 26 Jan., 1595/6.
Barbara Liddell, bapt. 4 Dec. 1595, bur. at Lanchester, 17 Aug. 1672, mar. Samuel Sanderson of Brancepeth and Hedley Hope (died July 1650, M.I. Lanchester), 18 Dec. 1610, at Brancepeth.
Jane Liddell, bapt. 26 Jan. 1597/8, mar. Robert Anderson, 24 April 1615, at St. Andrew’s, Newcastle. His Inq. p.m. was taken at Durham, 12 April, 1620, see also the Inq. p.m. taken at Durham, 1629, of his grandson Thomas, son of his son, Thomas Liddell.[2]
