Jay Lee Webb was born Willie Lee Webb in Van Lear, Kentucky. He was the younger brother of Loretta Lynn as well as an older brother of Crystal Gayle.
According to the autobiography of Loretta Lynn, Jay Lee was named after Willie Webb and Lee Dollarhide, two relatives who made moonshine and were hiding in the Webb household at the time of his birth.
Jay Lee was a country music singer, songwriter and musician. He had several Billboard recordings and was a regular on Grand Ole Opry.
Buried at Hermitage Memorial Gardens Davidson co. Tennessee--He use to come to the Dewey Lake at our reunion and sing for us when he was young.
