Thomas, son of Josiah and Sarah Wedgwood was baptised in Stoke on Trent on 28 May 1771. ^[1]

Tom Wedgwood was unwell for most of his short life. As a student he suffered from headaches and later severe abdominal pains. On his trip to the West Indies he suffered from seasickness and was confined to his cabin for the entire voyage with both vomiting and abdominal pain. He died of opium overdosage at the age of 34. ^[2]
