John Westover Jr. was born on 2 August 1738 in Sheffield, Berkshire, Massachusetts to parents John Westover Sr. and Rachel Morton.[1] He was the second child born to the couple, after his elder sister, Rachel, who died in infancy. John was christened on 12 Aug 1738 in Sheffield, Berkshire, Massachusetts. The eldest surviving child, John had eight younger brothers and sisters. He married Ruffus Austin in July of 1761 in Sheffield, Berkshire, Massachusetts.[2] Children: William-1 [died in infancy], David, John, William-2, Sarah, Isaac, Phoebe. He died in January of 1797 in Caldwell Manor, Quebec, Canada.
