Juriaan was baptized in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York, on 27 April 1684, recorded as the child of Johannes Westphael and Maritie Cool. Witnesses were Jacob Cool, Jacob Stoutenburg, and Maritie Simons.[1]
Juriaan Westvaal first married Styntjen van Kuykendaal. She died some time after the birth of her last child in 1715 and before 29 July 1716, when Juriaan, her widower married again.
The Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston registered his second marriage, although it was not performed in his home church:
"Juriaan Westvaal, widower of Styntjen van Kuykendaal, and Marytjen Koddebeck, j.d., both parties born in Kingston and now residing in Menissing [Minisink] Banns registerd 29 July 1716. Married in Mennissing. [2]
Note about "Minisink": A footnote in the Kingston records states that Minisink is the name originally applied to a mining settlement by the Dutch and Swedes, on both banks of the Delaware River, prior to 1700, extending from the Water Gap, in a northerly direction about forty miles. The Minisink region also included a considerable portion of western and northern New Jersey, and the southerly sections of Orange and Sullivan Counties, as they now exist, in the State of New York. The village of Minisink in New Jersey was situated near the confluence of the Delaware and Neversink rivers, and was burned and pillaged by Brandt and his followers. There is a township in Orange County, named Minisink, organized in 1780, which comprised a large extent of territory, extending to the New Jersey line, and which in 1790 contained 2,215 inhabitants. It now covers less than 1/3 of its former area. The "Minisink Patent," granted by the crown in 1704, covered a considerable portion of the Minisink country, but was so general and indefinite as to its boundaries that for a long time it proved to be a very disturbing element among the inhabitants of that patent and the numerous others granted about the same time. See Minisink Valley region in WikiTree.

Research Notes
LNAB is Westphael, the name recorded for his father at his baptism. - Smith-62120 15:23, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
The profile data section showed a middle name of "Euric," but nothing in the profile supports that information, and people of this time and place didn't normally have middle names. - Smith-62120 21:56, 30 July 2019 (UTC)

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Juriaan by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:
From a book on Hardy Co., WV - "Another family with roots in Esopus came to the South Branch (of the Potomac River) in 1744. Jurian (Euric) Westfall was one of the patriarchs. He came from Monatague Township in Sussex County, NJ. When he died in 1753, his son-in-law Michael Harness administered the estate. Abel, John, and Jacob Westfall, his sons, all owned land on the South Branch by1746. Jurian Westfall (Westvael)s wife was a Keuykendall, so he was related by marriage to Benjamin, John, Matthias, and Peter Kuykendall who also came from Sussex County at the same time." Noland 588
Micheal Harness married Catrina Westphael-8 the daughter of Jurian Westphael-1 and Blandina DeWitt-30. The Jurian Westphael-10 who married Kuykendall isn't the father of Catrina.
Jurian Westphael-10 and Jurian Westphael-1 are first cousins.
