Research Notes

RE: Marriage. There is no support for the woman currently connected as wife. Blomefield mentions a Mary, daughter of Sir Richard Brews (son of Sir Gyles) and Eleanor (daughter of Sir John Shelton) whomarried a man named John Weyland[3] but it is unclear whether it was the john Weyland, subject of this profile. Sir Richard died in 1323 so Mary must have been conceived before that event.
The Peerage: John Weyland; cites an email but no reliable source

John's death year is given as 1389 but the birth year of his daughter is ten years later.

Under Biography it says that John was born about 1360 which means he didn't die at age 16 in 1389. He had daughter Alice in 1399, 10 years after his death? A bit confusing.
