Biography

Abner Whisenant was born about 1800 in South Carolina. He was the son of Henry Whisenant. He was married to Anny Blalock before 1826.

Abner and Anny Whisenant had the following children:

  1. Jeremiah
  2. Henry
  3. Mary Ann Elizabeth
  4. William Jenkins

He was married to Matilda Bearden Feb 3 1833. They had the following children:

  1. James Calvin
  2. Dickson

He was married to Mary Kitchens on 30 May 1841. Mary was born in SC. They had the following children:

  1. Amanda 

Second wife, Matilda Bearden, we'd 02/03/1833 St Clair Co., AL had one son, James Calvin. Third wife, Mary Kitchens, wed 05/29/1841 St Clair Co., AL had daughter Lucinda and son Charles. Buried Hopewell Baptist Cemetery St Clair Co AL
