Samuel was born in 1587. He was the son of William Whitaker and Susan Culverwell.[1]
In 1598 he went to Eton College as a chorister[1] and he is recorded there in 1600 in the Eton College Register.[2] He went on to study at King's College, Cambridge.[3] In 1607/8 he was elected a Fellow of King's College, Cambridge, where he remained for the rest of his life.[1][3]
He passed away in 1617 and was buried in the chapel of King's College, Cambridge.[1][3]
