"In 1993, Janet Ireland Delorey and Dean Crawford Smith argued that "the evidence seems to favor the conclusion that Macuth Pratt's 'daughter White' was the wife of Thomas (2) White" [TAG 68:29-31], but in 1996 Dean Crawford Smith and Melinde Lutz Sanborn were less certain of this identification [Kempton Anc 1:498-500, 505-6]."[1]

Thomas White of Braintree executed his last will on 28 March 1706, witnessed by Jacob Nash, Stephen French and William Trask, making bequests to:[2]

son Thomas White (1 acre salt marsh in Braintree adjoining sd. Thos. White, 5 or 6 acres of fresh meadow and upland upon Small Brooke River, 1/4 of my outlands and cedar swamps, £30);
son Samuel White (half of 20 acres adjoining his home landed bounded s. by Colnl. Hunt, half of a pond of salt marsh I bought of William Veasy, 1/4 of my outlands and cedar swamps);
son Joseph White (half of the land adjoining Samuel's homeland, bounded s. on Col. Hunt, about 20 acres, half of the salt marsh bought of Wm. Veasy, 1/4 outlands and cedar swamps);
son Ebenezer White (half of my housing and lands adjoining on both sides of the way, upland and meadow immediately, the other half after my wife's decease, 1/4 of outlans and cedar swamp, provided he pay £10 after my wife's decease to whom she shall dispose of it in her lifetime, and £10 to my grandson Thomas White, son of my son Thomas and 40s. to each of the eldest of my grandchildren of my sons & daughter when they attain to ye age of 21 years);
daughter Mary Holebrooke (my young orchard, 3 acres adjoining my homelands, great brass kettle and a cow);
