Biography

Ann Wickens was born about 1833 in Hunton, Kent, England. She was a daughter of Richard Wickens and Mary Whyman.

Ann married John Ladhams in November 1851 in Maidstone, Kent.[1]

Together with her husband and eldest child, Ann emigrated to Victoria four months after the loss of her son aboard Eliza; departed Southampton 21st May and arrived Port Adelaide 20th August 1856. They travelled on to Melbourne, Victoria in 1857-58 where Ann delivered another seven children.Ken Evans

Ann passed away on 14th August 1918 in Bacchus Marsh, Victoria.[2] and is buried in Maddingly Cemetery, Bacchus Marsh.
