Joseph Wiggin was born in 1729 at High Scales near Bromfield in Cumbria. He passed away in 1801. Joseph made a will, which was proved in 1802, this is held at the Cumbria Archive services - Joseph Wiggin is described as 'yeoman of Scales' (land owning farmer).
