Esther Wigglesworth was born on 16 April 1685 in Malden, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony, the daughter of Rev. Michael Wigglesworth, (pastor, teacher, and author of the "Day of Doom" and other poetical writings) and his wife Martha (Mudge) Wigglesworth.[1]
Esther married twice. Her first husband was John Sewall of Newbury, the son of John and Hannah (Fessenden) Sewall born in Newbury on 10 April 1680.[2] Their marriage was recorded in the Newbury records on 08 June 1710.[3]
John Sewall died in 1711.[4] An inventory of his estate was taken on 20 March 1711/12 and presented to court on 25 March 1712 when administration on his estate was granted to his widow Esther Sewall and his brother Henry Sewall.[5]
They had no children.
She married, secondly, to Abraham Toppan on 21 October 1713 in Newbury.[6]
It is said the Esther Toppan died in Newbury on 25 March 1759.[citation needed] Her death is not found in Newbury Vital Records.
Esther and Abraham Toppan had at least six children recorded in Newbury:[7]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Esther by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Esther:
I question the death date, as I don't find any record in the vital records of Newbury, nor do I find it in any of the sources listed in the original profile.
