DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Alice by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Alice:
This Alice was probably the second wife of Henry Nelson who first married Alice Hayhurst - daughter of Cuthburt Hayhurst and Mary Rudd which makes this Alice the step mother to Alice Nelson (Nelson-27277) Carter Yates. I question the relationship of Jemima to Henry. Was Jemima a stepdaughter instead of daughter or did she first marry a Wildman before marrying Heaton? Was Wildman actually Alices' maiden name or her first marriage. Alice seems to have been a very common name in this community at this time.
