John Wildman was the son of Martin Wildman and Ann Ward b. in 1681. The Middletown MM recorded his birth as "ye 2nd day ye 2nd mo 1681" (2 Apr 1681).[1] A birth record recorded by the Settle Monthly Meeting recorded the birth the same, noting his father was Martin Wildman of Crosdalegrain.[2] The birth and date of death for John Wildman are found in the book by Jane W.T.
