Biography
Margaret told her children that she had a red-haired twin sister. Her father left Margaret with her Copeland Maternal relatives and returned to Ireland (taking the twin with him) after the girls' mother died during or shortly after their birth.
Court papers, relating to her difficulty supporting herself after her husband's death, say that her middle initial was "F". Could this have stood for "Florence", the name given to her granddaughter (Florence Helen Poe) by her daughter Susan M. (nee Johnson) Poe?
Her burial was at the Old Providence Methodist Cemetery, Chatham County, North Carolina, USA.
