"Bailey" Wilkie was a highly skilled carpenter and joiner. He built a number of commercial buildings in the Fayetteville, NC area including the YMCA and a hospital. January 19, 1908 he married Mary Etta Murdoch in Moore County, NC. Although he continued to work primarily in the Fayetteville area, he built a house in Gulf, NC where he and Etta lived until their deaths. Buried in the Gulf Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Gulf, Chatham County, North Carolina.
