Biography
Jared was born in 1706 in Guilford to Thomas Willard and Abigail Bradley.
He (of Guilford) married Katherine Bates of Saybrook in 1734, by Rev. William Worthington.[1] They took up residence in Guilford, Connecticut and had the following children:[2]
- Billey s , b. Nov. 3, 1735.
- Submit, b. July 1, 1739; m. Aug. 1, 1764, Samuel Field.
- Jared, b. Feb. 5, 1743; d. Jan. 15, 1746-7.
- Josiah, b. Apr. 11, 1745; d. Apr. 21, 1776.
- Jared, b. Feb. 14, 1747-8.
- Catherine, b. Jan. 22, 1752; m. Sept. 16, 1773, Benjamin Teall.
- Thomas, b. July 23, 1759; m. at Killingworth, Conn., Mar. 22, 1781, Lydia Graves.
Jared passed away in 1776 at the age of 70.[3] His will, dated June 9, 1766, codicil added December 12, 1767, was proved May 15, 1776; is a very interesting document.
