He (of Guilford) married Katherine Bates of Saybrook in 1734, by Rev. William Worthington.[1] They took up residence in Guilford, Connecticut and had the following children:[2]

Jared, b. Feb. 5, 1743; d. Jan. 15, 1746-7.

Catherine, b. Jan. 22, 1752; m. Sept. 16, 1773, Benjamin Teall.
Thomas, b. July 23, 1759; m. at Killingworth, Conn., Mar. 22, 1781, Lydia Graves.
Jared passed away in 1776 at the age of 70.[3] His will, dated June 9, 1766, codicil added December 12, 1767, was proved May 15, 1776; is a very interesting document.
