Will of Merril Willis, Hamilton County, Illinois. Wife Margaret inherited all the household furniture & other items not disposed of in the will, a horse and all livestock, sheep & hogs owned by Merril. Third son Joshua Willis inherited his father's land, wagon & riffle. His three older children were Mary Lane, Martha Wheeler and William Wesley Willis. They inherited the proceeds from the sale of the stock of horses, carpenter tools & corn, oats, ect. remaining after feeding the horses & stock over the winter. William Wesley also inherited his father's clothing & saddle. Witnesses were Tamy Carpenter and Rebecca Hardy. It appears the will was probated 15 Jan 1841 by Probate Justice of the Peace Robert Edwards
