Elijah Wilmoth migrated to Jasper County, Missouri and married his first wife Mary J. Parsons in 1872 at Minersville, Missouri. Mary Parson died shortly after giving birth to William Wilmoth. Elijah's second wife was Anna Elizabeth Wallace; she was born in 1863 in Iowa. It is said that they raised a large family.
Elijah worked in the Lead Mines in Webb City, Jasper County, Missouri along with his brothers George Washington Wilmoth and for a time William Riley Wilmoth. [1]
