Hi Susan

I’ve not heard back from you regarding the US Southern Colonies Project check-in so have gone ahead and removed you from the project for now. However, if you’d like to rejoin at any stage you would be most welcome to do so by answering the G2G sign-up post here.

Many thanks,

Hi Susan,

I sent you a check-in message a week ago about the US Southern Colonies Project to ask you about your continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the Southern Colonies project? If I don’t hear from you by the same time next week I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Best wishes,

Hello Mary,

Oh dear, I may not be doing enough. I seem to be jumping around a lot lately, frustrating myself by looking for my Wilson ancestors. You can see my contributions here: https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&who=Wilson-31949

Susan,

Thanks for checking in. I found enough contributions. Your "jumping around" remind me of myself.

Hi Susan, was going through my family records and saw that you added Luvencia in the Joseph Stewart group of siblings. In my records I had her, but there are 7 other siblings not listed.

Hello Benjamin,

Thank you for noticing this. Would you like to do the honors? I think a Stewart ancestor would be the best one to complete this.

Hello Susan, Wondering if we are related. I descend from Phillip Wilson 1740 - 1825 and Rebecca Connolly 1756- 1819. They are thought to be buried at Bar Creek in Clay County Kentucky. We're are actively trying to push back from Philip and find our relatives who didn't come through the Cumberland Gap. Let me know how we can connect. Best, Jim
posted by James Wilson
Hi James, I really don't know if we are the same Wilson family or not. Do you know if Phillip had any brothers or sisters? Do you have a John Wilson? Also, have you had your dna tested?

I have some information given to me with an Abraham Wilson, wife Jane, parents of Thomas Wilson who married Jean. However, I have not been able to verify this information.

Maybe if we both work on our lines we will meet somewhere.

Thanks for taking time to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you again.

Your cousin? Susan

Hello Susan, Philip was from Rowan County North Carolina and owned land in Orange county North Carolina. He served in the Revolutionary war and came through the Cumberland Gap to settle in SE Kentucky afterwards. His parents were "Supposedly" Philip Wilson Senior and a Mary Lydia Bundy. His grandfather was supposedly an Abraham Wilson but am not certain if this can be verified. I'm trying to find the other side of the family that stayed in North Carolina to hopefully trace back our roots from Scotland and England. I have a "supposed" Jonathan Wilson born about 1723 in Perquimans County but again, the data seems unverified.

I've taken the Natl Geo Genome Test and my Haplogroup is I-Z63. I'm taking the FTDNA Family Finder test at the moment. Once I get the results back I can share to see If I'm connected to your side of the family.

I'll keep you posted on m results. Thanks for connecting, best, Jim

James, I have had a difficult time finding Wilson ancestors and relatives. All I had to go on was research done in the 1960s by a cousin. You can see what I have on my compact tree.

Hello Susan Wilson,

Recently joined Wikitree and in search of much of what you are with regard to my Gardner Quaker roots. My line came from Dorsett England first settle in Salem, then about 1667 left for Nantucket, then about 1772 settled in North Carolina and by 1853 caught the Oregon Trail for the west. Any similarity to your? Thank you , Steven Gardner

Steven Gardner,

Yes, it looks like we belong to the same Gardner line. I look forward to seeing your contributions on WikiTree. Thanks for taking time to comment. Susan

Hi Susan,

You have two codes in your biography which mention Quakers, but neither go to working links.

Were you trying to add a link to the Quakers Project page? If so, the URL is:

https:wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Quakers

The category "Direct Ancestor Surnames:Quakers" does not exist. How did you envision using it?
