John Wing was born in 1752. He married Margaret Buffum on April 1 1773 at Smithfield, Providence, RI. John and his brother Joseph settled in Richmond and did a lot together. While he was a Quaker and did not like bloodshed, he signed a document that showed his loyalty to the American cause. Joseph also signed it. He settled in Richmond, N.H. and removed from there in 1796 to Sangerfield, Oneida Co., N.Y. He passed away in 1823.
